Franek My Little Prince

Do you remember Alfie Evans? Similar story is happening in Poland. Franek’s parents are looking for any support. Let’s help the little boy as he fights to wake up from a coma, his only chance an expensive therapy and rehabilitation.

My name is Franek. I'm 4. I was born a healthy, happy and active boy. I had had a wonderful life until the fatal Friday, January 13th, 2017. My life changed in an instant when a flu virus attacked my brain, causing an extensive brain inflammation leading to a coma. I can't move and communicate with my family. I am imprisoned inside my tiny body. I spent 10 months in Budzik Clinic with my mom. Unfortunately nothing that happened there helped me come back. I left the Clinic in vegetative state. 

The doctors recommended no further rehabilitation. My parents were told that my heart would probably stop beating at any given moment. They were wrong. My parents have not given up on me, they have been fighting for me ever since. 

We have put our trust in a doctor, a specialist who has given us hope that one day I will come back from a coma and become a happy and healthy boy again. My heart beat is regular. My muscles are starting to work again. I have been undergoing intensive rehabilitation for the last four months at a private clinic and at home. My brain is starting to function thanks to constant stimulation. 

The first results are already visible. I can sit almost independently if someone helps me stabilize my head. It is so heavy. I can also stand if I am stabilized. My eyes start looking around and I know what goes on around me but I am not able to say that I am already here. 

Everyone says I am a brave little prince. I am fighting every day to be physically fit and to come back for good. The costs of private rehabilitation are extremely high. They exceed 20 000 zlotys a month (5000 $ per month).

My wonderful parents can't afford to cover ever growing expenses related to the therapy necessary for a full recovery. My dad has been a sole provider for the last 2 years and my mom is with me all the time, caring for me. 

Please help me come back to this wonderful world. I want to play, to learn, to run like other kids. I want to tell my mom, dad and my older brother Szymon how much I love them, and to play football together.
