Monika jest pedagogiem Montessori, pracuje z dziećmi i młodzieżą (młodzi nastolatkowie) w Montessori City w Warszawie. Chodząca cierpliwość i spokój. Uwielbiana zarówno przez młodszych uczniów, jak przez szalonych dorastających, cudowna, kreatywna, dobra, pełna serca, kochana osoba.

Zaczęło się zupełnie niewinnie. Coś Moni strzeliło w kolanie podczas wstawania z podłogi po zajęciach z młodzieżą. Rozległe uszkodzenia, orteza, długie zwolnienie, intensywną rehabilitacja i różne diagnozy -  żadna nie zgadzała się ze stanem faktycznym. Wszystko po to, by jak najszybciej wrócić do dzieci, które uczy... Następnie opuchlizna dłoni, niewyobrażalny ból stawów, stany gorączkowe... Wreszcie, po wielu badaniach, diagnoza ostateczna - REUMATOIDALNE ZAPALENIE STAWÓW.  Brzmi groźnie i boleśnie, i tak właśnie jest. Nie, tego nie da się wyleczyć. Ale można spowolnić przebieg choroby, wydłużyć życie Moniki i ocalić jej pracę z dziećmi i młodzieżą. Leczenie Moniki wymaga wielu godzin terapii manualnej, kosztownej suplementacji, farmakoterapii, rehabilitacji leczniczej, kinezyterapii, akupunktury, masaży, stałego usprawniania. Miesięczny koszt leczenia to ok 5000 złotych, z czego ok 2500 to koszt samych zabiegów.

Monika mimo bólu uśmiecha się, stara się nadal chodzić do pracy, wspiera dzieci i młodzież z Montessori City w nauce, samodzielnej pracy, w ich zmaganiach z nową, nastoletnią rzeczywistością, jest dla nich uchem i ramieniem, dzieli się nieustannie swoją ogromną wiedzą, ale na tyle dyskretnie, żeby dzieci sądziły, że to ich własne, pierwsze odkrycia. Potrzebujemy Moniki. Potrzebują jej własne dzieci, nasze dzieci, jej wnuki. 

Pomóżcie nam wesprzeć Monikę w jej pierwszych miesiącach walki. Wierzymy, że będzie dobrze!

Monika is a Montessori educator, works with children and adolescents (young teenagers) in Montessori City in Warsaw. Walking patience and peace. Loved by both younger students and crazy adolescents, wonderful, creative, good, heartfelt, beloved person.

It started completely innocently. Something snapped in Monia's knee while getting up from the floor after school with our youth Montessori students. Extensive injuries in the joint, an orthesis, a long release, intensive rehabilitation and various diagnoses - none of them  was with the facts. All this in order to return to the our children and students as soon as possible ... 

Then new problems appeared -  hand swelling, unimaginable joint pain, fever ... Finally, after many tests, the final diagnosis - RHEUMATOId ARTHRITIS. It sounds scary and painful, and it is. No, it cannot be cured completely. But you can slow down the process of the disease, to extend Monika's life and save her work with children and youth in our Montessori school. 

Monika's treatment requires many hours of manual therapy, expensive supplementation, pharmacotherapy, therapeutic rehabilitation, kinesiotherapy, acupuncture, massages, and constant physiotherapy. The monthly cost of treatment is about PLN 5,000, of which 2,500 is the cost of the treatments themselves.

Despite the pain, Monika smiles, still tries to go to work, supports children and teenagers from Montessori City in learning, working independently, in their struggle with the new, teenage reality, she is an ear and an arm for them, she constantly shares her enormous knowledge, but discreetly enough for children to think that these are their first discoveries. We need Monika. She needs her own children, our children, her grandchildren.
