My close friend Vitalii Burnus raised money, purchased and drove from the UK an ambulance filled with medicines and equipment (including ECG purchased from Samsung Poland) for the needs of a Kyiv Military Hospital (here is his post with inspiring video report: https://cutt.ly/gFb025d). I was accompanying him from Warsaw to Polish-Ukrainian border and back.
After our trip I’ve learned that there is a need for more ambulances, so, after some digging, I’ve found several used Fiat Ducato 250 in Italy (price ranging from 6 to 15k), which I want to buy (here is the link to fundraiser on my LinkedIn page: https://cutt.ly/nFb2Qbm) and deliver to volunteer logistics center in Przemyśl, from where they will be delivered to prominent Ukrainian NGO in Kyiv and then further distributed to the military. My friends and other volunteers have committed to join the cause and deliver the cars from Italy to Przemyśl.
The plan is to buy only cars in a good technical condition (preferably manufactured in 2013 or later, with no more than 300k km mileage), equipped with exit stretchers and other special medical equipment, so after Ukraine's victory they serve Ukrainian hospitals for a long time.
I plan purchasing 2-5 cars, depending on how much I will manage to collect by April 17th (so it doesn’t take too long until the cars are delivered to where they should serve). Spare money will be used to buy critical medicines and other necessary equipment.
I am going to publish updates with reports on purchases and delivery to volunteers.
Thank you for your help!
