VAN for social circus project

Who am I? 
HANIA ŚMIAŁOWSKA - coordinator of a growing social circus and art therapy project.

I have travelled for the last 8 years discovering the world of circus and its incredible social influence. My passion have been growing while I was taking part in social circus projects and trainings with different organisations:

-CATE Training for circus trainers in Budapest

-in Kenya with Performers Without Borders and Wadego

-in Germany with Cabuwazi

-in Mexico with Machincuepa

-in Argentina with Crispines

All those years I have been discovering the meaning of my life and I know now that it is creating a safe and healing space for the most vulnerable children. The methodology I want to bring to them is 

playfulness and body consciousness of circus artscreative expression of art therapy and the power of laughter from clowning.

WHAT AM I FUNDRAISING FOR? 

 I have started an art&circus social project MAMBORETA for the children that are suffering the crisis of homelessness in Buenos Aires. Currently the percentage of people living on the streets is
The collected funds will be used for:
👉buying a VAN for transporting the volunteers and the circus and arts&crafts materials to different humble and vulnerable districts of the Buenos Aires Province and with time and development of the project - all around Argentina.
👉buying circus equipment like juggling clubs, materaces for acrobatics, juggling balls
👉buying art materials: paint, paper, crayons, paint brushes, scissors, glue etc
👉buying materials for the creation of the space: carpets, tables and benches, a tarp

WHAT IS THE OBJECTIVE AND MOTIVATION OF THIS PROJECT? 

With the group of volunteers we want to create a safe space for the children to socialise, play and discover their talents and abilities that may open for them doors to create a future they dream of.

Growing up in the street conditions are exposing the youngest ones to the struggles of poverty, many traumatic experiences, violence and abuse.

Our project is focusing on giving them time, space and tools of expression that can enable channels of release and hopefully healing. Teaching them about creating loving connections, respect, their personal space and the importance of a healthy community.

MABORETA has already started its actions and we can see that the impact that art and playfullness have on the children in any age is enormous!

We are already going for it, but with your help we will be able to offer much more activities to many more children much sooner.
I will be extremely greatful for any smallest help, because it really counts and can make a change.
