Hello!
My name is Wojciech. I work for Page Group in Warsaw, Poland.
I am proud to call myself a friend of many wonderful people from Ukraine who I met during my studies there many years ago!
Since the war started, 15 of my friends, including 7 children, found a safe place in Poland with me (some of them in my house, some in the house I rented for them). We've also managed to help many others who stayed with us for a while, until they found another place where they could feel safe, in PL or abroad.
Since that day I'm doing my best to ensure that they feel safe, to ensure that children will remember their stay in Poland as nice holidays instead of going through a nightmare. I organise time for them here, we create amazing constructions out of Lego bricks, I do everything to ease their longing for fathers who are fighting for their country. 2 of them will never see their father again. In Poland they are relieved that they don't hear the sirens, that they don't need to run to the shelters and listen to and feel bombs destroying their homes.
I am not asking you to support me and my personal effort, as I am secured in terms of money to pay all the bills and ensure they have food on the table. Instead, I would like to ask you to support an amazing effort of my friend, Liudmyla Kryzhanovska. She fled the war and, together with her son and mother, they stay at my place. Liudmyla is not wasting her time here- she's been always working for multiple foundations and NGO's, giving all she could to those who needed support!
Liudmyla has been a happy mother who was helping kids suffering from cancer all the time through the organisation Hair for Share (https://bit.ly/3wsCcff). However now all that changed. Happy mother and her friends are now creating and running shelters for refugees in Western Ukraine, they deliver food, water and medications for civilians who stayed in the cities that are being ruined. They buy bulletproof vests for hospitals in the critical zones. They are doing things that we can't even imagine.
In order to carry on with their amazing work, they need our support! They need us to support their effort during those unspeakably painful times. They need more money to provide medical support where it is needed. They need support to buy another minivan and a passenger car to evacuate more people and deliver more medications. They need us to help those whose health and life depends on them!
Poles are helping Ukrainian refugees here in Poland (approx. 2 million people already fled the war and stayed in PL). I will take a good care of my friends and their kids. Liudmyla needs to carry on with her amazing work.
We found a foundation in Poland who will get the money we raise and help Liudmyla to pay all the bills. The foundation that will help us here in Poland is Święta bez taty (https://bit.ly/3N5RxYT). All the money we will raise will entirely support Ukraine!
If we collect a significant amount of money, I will also support other organisations where other friends of mine works in order to support Ukraine! You will be informed about our progress and what we managed to do for them!
