As many of you know she has a rare heart and lung condition and unfortunately the surgery she needs can only be done in Boston… she needs more tests done on arrival and then heart surgery to correct the artery and some of her lung removed.
She’s constantly in and out of hospital, feeding tubes, tests, needles and everything that has been thrown at this little girl in her 1 year of life and the people that know and have supported Leilani know what a happy little girl she and how well she copes with everything, But there’s so much behind the scenes people don’t see, the 2 hourly feeds 24 hrs a day, the tears, the stopping breathing, the drs and nurses and appointments. The rushing to the hospital in the middle of the night. The sadness in my baby girls eyes when we pull into another hospital car park or get on a train to Evelina.
We’ve looked at every possible solution and this is the only one that can give our little girl the standard of life she deserves, Boston means getting her as fixed as we can without ongoing surgeries. I know times are extremely hard at the moment but a huge thank you to anyone that can donate anything to help us get Leilani there and get her the surgery she needs.
