ZF SCM help for Ukraine

Ukraine and its people are suffering, but the Ukrainians are unbelievably brave. However, the arising costs – especially in human life – will be very high.

That's why we are focusing on helping those who organize a coordinated support for arriving people.

As ZF SCM Team, we've launched a targeted support for people, who managed to escape Ukraine and are arriving in Wrocław, mainly mothers with children, elderly people, pets. The scale of needs is enormous, so every bit of help makes a difference. In most of the cases, these people arrived only with documents and a small bag with personal items. They spent hours on the way to the border, in very risky and dangerous conditions, they spent hours standing in the freeze in the cue to the passport control point at the border. Finally they spent hours in the full trains before they approached Wrocław. Some of them are moving further and Wrocław is just one step on their way. But most of the people have no place to go.

In the ocean of needs we decided, that we can do a lot by supporting those, who arrive in the Wrocław main railway station and are waiting for further steps, looking for places to sleep, searching for school for their children, searching for job, etc.

What, for whom and why we collect

Our aim is to collect/buy and deliver to the railway station the items that are currently needed most (the list is dynamic and might change):

• personal hygiene and cleaning products, in particular: diapers, sanitary napkins, wet wipes, creams for nappy rash, shampoos, soaps, shower gels etc.
• dressings, bandage, painkillers
• water and "long-term" food
• food for young children
• pet food and accessories
• toys and anything that can make children smile
• suitcases
• underwear

In the next step, for supporting equipping flats and sleeping shelters also:

• water boilers, small household appliances: microwave ovens, toasters, kettles
• kitchen utensils, pots, thermos, disposable plates, cups, cutlery
