Książki dla dzieci w Afryce

Ojciec Adam Choma, Misjonarz Afryki (Ojcowie Biali), od lat posługuje w Burkina Faso – jednym z najuboższych krajów Afryki Zachodniej. Wspólnie z innymi ojcami wspiera tam Centrum Edukacyjne Pelikan, które każdego dnia daje szansę na lepsze jutro dzieciom – chrześcijanom i muzułmanom, sierotom, dzieciom, które przez konflikty zbrojne musiały uciekać z domów i tym, których rodziny nie są w stanie opłacić nauki.

Szkoła to nie tylko miejsce nauki – to przestrzeń bezpieczeństwa, nadziei i spotkania. Ojcowie otwierają dla dzieci kaplicę, wspierają duchowo i dają świadectwo miłości Chrystusa – niezależnie od wyznania uczniów.

Niestety, rządowa decyzja o wymianie wszystkich dotychczasowych podręczników postawiła dzieci przed dramatycznym wyborem – kupić nowe materiały albo przerwać edukację. Koszty są ogromne, a możliwości rodzin – znikome.

Dlatego chcemy zebrać 22 000 zł, by zakupić nowe podręczniki dla ponad 100 uczniów. Rodziny nie są w stanie pozwolić sobie na takie koszty, dlatego pragniemy umożliwić dzieciom dostęp do tego podstawowego dobra jakim jest edukacja, rozwój i szkolne podwórko.

Father Adam Choma, a Missionary of Africa (White Fathers), has been serving for many years in Burkina Faso – one of the poorest countries in West Africa. Together with other priests, he supports the Pelican Educational Center, which offers children a chance for a better future every day – including Christians and Muslims, orphans, children who had to flee their homes due to armed conflicts, and those whose families cannot afford education.

The school is not just a place of learning – it is a space of safety, hope, and encounter. The Fathers open the chapel to the children, offer spiritual support, and bear witness to the love of Christ – regardless of the students’ faith.

Unfortunately, a government decision to replace all existing textbooks has forced children into a heartbreaking choice – to buy new materials or drop out of school. The costs are enormous, and the families’ means are minimal.

That’s why we aim to raise 22,000 PLN to purchase new textbooks for over 100 students. The families simply cannot afford such expenses, so we want to give the children access to this fundamental good – education, growth, and the life of a school community.
